Christmas Crack
Ingredients
- 24 Saltine Crackers about a sleeve
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 3/4 cup Chocolate Chips
- Nuts or Other Toppings
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400F degrees
- Line 9×13 inch sheet pan with aluminum foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray
- You can use parchment paper instead of foil for easier removal of the candy
- Line pan with crackers in a single layer24 Saltine Crackers
- In sauce pan, combine butter and brown sugar, and bring to full boil1/2 cup Butter, 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- Boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly
- Immediately pour sauce over crackers and spread completely
- Bake crackers at 400F degrees for 5 minutes, until toffee is bubbly
- Remover from over and sprinkle chocolate chips over crackers3/4 cup Chocolate Chips
- Let chocolate chips sit for 3 to 4 minutes to melt
- Spread melted chocolate over crackers then top with nuts or other toppingsNuts or Other Toppings
- Let cool for 10 to 15 minutes, then put in fridge until cold and chocolate is set.
- Break into pieces
