Easy Stroganoff w/Ground Beef

An easy version of the normal creamy and savory beef stroganoff. Another one pot meal that is definitely a crowd pleaser.

Equipment

  • 1 Dutch Oven or Large Pot with lid

Ingredients
  

  • 1 medium onion julienned
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 ounces mushrooms quartered
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom condensed soup 10.5 oz
  • 1 package beef (brown) gravy mix 0.87 ounces
  • 5 cups water
  • 4 beef bouillon cubes
  • 12 ounces wide egg noodles uncooked
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • water as needed
  • 1 tsp parsley flakes

Instructions
 

  • In Dutch oven or large pot, cook 1 medium onion with 1 tablespoon butter until starting to be translucent
  • Add 1 lb ground beef and cook until almost completely brown.
  • Add 8 ounces mushrooms and cook another minute.
  • Remove any extra fat from frying pan.
  • Season with 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, and 1 tsp garlic.
  • Add the 1 can cream of mushroom condensed soup and stir.
  • Add 1 package beef (brown) gravy mix and stir.
  • Add the 5 cups water and 4 beef bouillon cubes cubes.
  • Add the uncooked 12 ounces wide egg noodles and cover fry pan.
  • Bring to boil.
  • Turn down to a simmer and cook until the egg noodles are tender (about 10 to 20 minutes).
  • Stirring occasionally.
  • Remove the lid and add 1/2 cup sour cream.
  • Add additional water until you reach desired consistency. May not need any additional water.
  • Stir and add 1 tsp parsley flakes on top parsley.
  • Serve and ENJOY!
