Salisbury Steak – Easy with Cream of Mushroom Soup

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Egg
  • 1/3 cup Dry Bread Crumbs
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup 10-3/4 ounces, undiluted, divided
  • 1/4 cup Onion finely chopped
  • 1 pound Ground Beef 90% lean
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1-1/2 cups Mushrooms fresh, sliced – can replace with canned mushrooms

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a bowl, combine the egg, bread crumbs, and onion.
    1 Egg, 1/3 cup Dry Bread Crumbs, 1/4 cup Onion
  • Crumble the beef over mixture and mix well.
    1 pound Ground Beef
  • Shape into four (4) patties.
  • In a large nonstick skillet, brown the patties on both sides.
  • While browning the Salisbury patties, in a small bowl, combine the milk, salt and soup.
    1/2 cup Milk, 1/4 teaspoon Salt, 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • Stir in mushrooms.
    1-1/2 cups Mushrooms
  • Place browned Salisbury patties in an 8×8 baking baking dish.
  • Pour soup mixture over browned Salisbury patties.
  • Bake in oven for 30 to 45 minutes. Occasionally basting patties with soup mixture.
  • Bake until a thermometer reads 165° and meat is no longer pink.
