Salisbury Steak – Easy with Cream of Mushroom Soup
Ingredients
- 1 Egg
- 1/3 cup Dry Bread Crumbs
- 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup 10-3/4 ounces, undiluted, divided
- 1/4 cup Onion finely chopped
- 1 pound Ground Beef 90% lean
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1-1/2 cups Mushrooms fresh, sliced – can replace with canned mushrooms
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a bowl, combine the egg, bread crumbs, and onion.1 Egg, 1/3 cup Dry Bread Crumbs, 1/4 cup Onion
- Crumble the beef over mixture and mix well.1 pound Ground Beef
- Shape into four (4) patties.
- In a large nonstick skillet, brown the patties on both sides.
- While browning the Salisbury patties, in a small bowl, combine the milk, salt and soup.1/2 cup Milk, 1/4 teaspoon Salt, 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
- Stir in mushrooms.1-1/2 cups Mushrooms
- Place browned Salisbury patties in an 8×8 baking baking dish.
- Pour soup mixture over browned Salisbury patties.
- Bake in oven for 30 to 45 minutes. Occasionally basting patties with soup mixture.
- Bake until a thermometer reads 165° and meat is no longer pink.
