Apple Bread with Nuts – Bread Machine
Chunky applesauce and chopped walnuts.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Applesauce Chunky Style
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 Cup Oil Light Olive, Vegetable, Canola, etc.
- 2 Eggs
- 2 Cups Flour All-Purpose
- 1/2 Cup Sugar White Granulated
- 1/2 Cup Light Brown Sugar Packed
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon Ground
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Cup Nuts Coarsely Chopped – Pecans, Walnut, etc.
Instructions
- Remove the bread pan from bread machine.
- Lightly beat the eggs.2 Eggs
- Add the applesauce, vanilla, oil, eggs and then the rest of the ingredients (including the coarsely chopped nuts) into the bread pan in the order listed.1 Cup Applesauce, 1/4 Cup Oil, 2 Eggs, 2 Cups Flour, 1/2 Cup Sugar, 1/2 Cup Light Brown Sugar, 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract, 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder, 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda, 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon, 1/2 Teaspoon Salt, 1 Cup Nuts
- Place the bread pan back into the bread machine and then plug in the bread machine.
- Set the bread maker to the setting that uses baking power/baking soda and not yeast. On the Dash Bread Maker, use the "Cake" setting.
- Start Bread Maker.
- Let Bread Machine finish baking.
- Remove pan from bread machine.
- Let cool a couple of minutes and remove bread from pan.
- You are suppose to let the quick bread cool down for 60+ minutes or it will be more likely to break/crumble when cut into slices.
- But I never let it cool. It tastes so good fresh and hot with some butter. Cut yourself a slice and enjoy.
