Apple Bread with Nuts – Bread Machine

Chunky applesauce and chopped walnuts.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Applesauce Chunky Style
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 Cup Oil Light Olive, Vegetable, Canola, etc.
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Cups Flour All-Purpose
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar White Granulated
  • 1/2 Cup Light Brown Sugar Packed
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon Ground
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Cup Nuts Coarsely Chopped – Pecans, Walnut, etc.

Instructions
 

  • Remove the bread pan from bread machine.
  • Lightly beat the eggs.

  • Add the applesauce, vanilla, oil, eggs and then the rest of the ingredients (including the coarsely chopped nuts) into the bread pan in the order listed.
    1 Cup Applesauce, 1/4 Cup Oil, 2 Eggs, 2 Cups Flour, 1/2 Cup Sugar, 1/2 Cup Light Brown Sugar, 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract, 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder, 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda, 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon, 1/2 Teaspoon Salt, 1 Cup Nuts
  • Place the bread pan back into the bread machine and then plug in the bread machine.
  • Set the bread maker to the setting that uses baking power/baking soda and not yeast. On the Dash Bread Maker, use the "Cake" setting.
  • Start Bread Maker.
  • Let Bread Machine finish baking.
  • Remove pan from bread machine.
  • Let cool a couple of minutes and remove bread from pan.
  • You are suppose to let the quick bread cool down for 60+ minutes or it will be more likely to break/crumble when cut into slices.
  • But I never let it cool. It tastes so good fresh and hot with some butter. Cut yourself a slice and enjoy.
